Rush R.Sloane (1828-1908).American lawyer & anti-slavery abolitionist,who was active within the Underground Railroad that helped slaves escape to freedom prior to the abolition of slavery in 19th century America.He\'s most notable for helping 7 slaves in to be released from his native Sandusky,Ohio,in 1854,successfully petitioning they were unlawfully captured,even at risk of financial ruin.His home was used as a Railroad safehouse.
