Though he played for other teams,he is regarded as a legend with Manchester United,his long term team he played for,from 1963 to 1974 and with the Northern Ireland team from 1964 to 1977.He was part of Man U's 1968 European Cup winning team,and that year.He is notable as one of the first 'celebrity footballers' long before Beckham,but for decades his life was marred by serious alcoholism that eventually killed him.
