Fife House,so named after 1896 after the Duke of Fife,was built in 1828 by notable Regency architect Thomas Cubitt,& the 6th Duke of Devonshire had it enlarged and connected to his neighbouring properties during his residence 1829-1858.It was renamed Fife House in 1896 in honour of its then resident Alexander Duff,1st Duke of Fife. It is Grade I listed.
